چکیده
E LECTRIC signals generated from the heart are more properly defined in mag. n-itude and direction by an orthogomial 3 lead system with constancy iii lead direction and strenogth.l1The spatial heart veetors are projected on the 3 perpendicular axes of such a Cartesiani coordiiiate system, and are readily available for analysis. With the advent of corrected orthogonal lead systems1-4 it appeared appropriate to reevaluate the time-phase relationships of the electrocardiograin ini siimulltanieously recorded tracings of the 3 orthogonal leads. Such ani analysis should come very close to the determination of the true b)eginniinig and enid of electric events as they take place ini the heart, as far as these cani be ascertained from the body surface. I previous studies by Blackburn and Simonsoit'; and fronm this laboratory7 it was found that the QRS duration differs markedly fromii conmmonily accepted, normal standards wx-hen simnultanieotislyrecorded tracings of orthogonal leads are anialz-ed. It seemed appIarent, therefore, that ot.her intervals used inl electrocardiographic interpretations should also be reiinvestigated in the same fashion. W~hite and associates aid(l Lepeschkin and

Determination the Normal Parameters (amplitude and duration) of Electrocardiogram Waves in River Buffaloes (Bubalus Bubalis) of Khuzestan
An easy way to evaluate the cardiovascular system is recording the cardiac electrical activities. Reviewing the available literatures suggests that buffalos ECG compared to other large animals have been neglected and the carried out studies in this field are too limited. Using this method for the diagnosis of cardiac disorders needs the standardization, not only among animal species but also am...
متن کاملComparison of the Effect of Continuous and Interval Aerobic Training on Electrocardiogram of Active Young Girls
Aims Few studies have examined the effects of various models of aerobic training on electrocardiogram (ECG). The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of continuous and interval aerobic training on ECG of active young girls. Methods & Materials The research method was quasi-experimental and 30 active young girls were selected from among physical education students (age=17.0±0.4 yr) ...
متن کاملElectrocardiographic changes in the littermate mongrel dogs from birth to six months of life
Evaluation of the cardiovascular system of canine pediatrics requires awareness of the anatomical and physiological changes occurring from birth to six months of age. The aim of this study was to report electrocardiographic changes in the littermate mongrel dogs from birth tosix months. Serial six-lead electrocardiograms were recorded from ten normal littermate mongrel dogs kept on right latera...
متن کاملComparison of the effects of different doses of acepromazine-xylazine on the electrocardiogram in dogs
Seventy seven adult large mixed breed dogs of either sex were included in this study. The animals were randomly divided into four groups and received the following drug combinations intramuscularly: Group 1 xylazine (0.5 mg/kg) and acepromazine (0.05 mg/kg), Group 2 xylazine (0.8 mg/kg) and acepromazine (0.03 mg/kg), Group 3 xylazine (0.3 mg/kg) and acepromazine (0.08 mg/kg) and Group 4 xylazin...
متن کاملNormal measurements of modified Frank corrected orthogonal electrocardiograms and their importance in an on-line computer-aided electrocardiographic system.
We have used a computer-aided i5-lead hybrid electrocardiographic system to obtain normal measurements throughout life for men and women in different age groups. Amplitude and duration of the P, QRS, and T wave in the modified Frank orthogonal leads were determined. The range ofmany of these observations was greater than that usually accepted; in particular, the PR interval could be as low as I...
